Badges
There are 3 challenge badges each Beaver can get. The friendship Challenge, The Discovery Challenge and The Outdoor challenge.
For the Discovery Challenge a Beaver
must have completed:
-An activity learning about how things work e.g. how a clock works, what a
magnet does.
-An activity learning how to keep healthy e.g knowing what to do
in an emergency.
An activity showing creativity to others e.g. learning and
singing a new song, making a model
-Learnt about healthy foods
-Food
colouring
-Monitored a heartbeat.
For the Outdoor Challenge a Beaver
must have completed:
-An outdoor activity involving use of Scoutcraft e.g. making and following
trails, camping, cooking
-An outdoor activity involving caring for the
environment e.g. recycling, tree planting, litter pick, country code An outdoor
activity involving a visit e.g. to a zoo, country park, Scout event, old peoples
home
-Any fourth activity
Any fifth activity
-Any sixth
activity.
For the Friendship Challenge a Beaver
must have completed:
-An activity finding out about life in a different country e.g. food,
clothes, weather, games
-An activity finding out about someone in your
community e.g. a policeman, minister, doctor, musician
-An activity helping
and caring for others e.g. preparing a basket of gifts for the elderly, caring
for a pet, helping other children
-Any fourth activity
-Any fifth activity
Any sixth activity
The Beavers will complete these activities at the meetings we do on Thursdays. Most older Beavers (age 7+) should have already completed one or two of the Challenges.
Beavers can also complete
"Activity Badges" These are to be done in the Beavers spare time. They are:

There are some extra special badges you can get aswell:

For the personal challenge, you must start a new skill or hobby, and show your improvement over 6 weeks. You must produce evidence e.g. explain to the colony what you have done, put on a display, produce a certificate etc. (Please ask a leader for more details)
